The Keystone Internet Coalition (KIC) is an informal coalition of nonprofits, agencies, and individuals working to achieve digital equity in Pennsylvania. We encourage ALL Pennsylvanians — no matter your level of experience — to join.

Pennsylvania will soon have more money for broadband and digital equity than ever before. When determining how this money will be used, the state government is required to incorporate local input. This means that each Pennsylvanian — including you — can influence the largest-ever investment in Pennsylvania’s connectivity.

KIC Coalition Members

What KIC Has Accomplished So Far:

Representatives of the coalition are currently advising the PA Broadband Development Authority on community engagement and oversight as active participants of a stakeholder advisory group, ensuring that there is ongoing, meaningful community engagement in the planning process.

Members have been monitoring issues in their respective communities, sharing that information in real time during bi-weekly meetings, and working with coalition partners to develop recommendations and solutions. Issue experts and digital equity practitioners regularly attend our gatherings and share their expertise.

Ongoing advocacy for the renewal of the Affordability Connectivity Program, which is making internet service and devices more affordable for over 700,000 Pennsylvanian households.

Our statewide efforts are being recognized in the press.
