Coalition Member Spotlight: Tech2Elevate

Mission:

Tech2Elevate provides digital skills training and resources throughout Beaver and Erie counties in Pennsylvania, as well as the Greater Cleveland area in Ohio. No matter a person’s starting level, Tech2Elevate strives to meet them where they are and assist them in their digital literacy journey. Their team of digital coaches serves at local community locations such as libraries, technology centers, and senior centers to offer free one-on-one sessions of digital training. They also host classes in their Ambridge Digital Learning Lab, where community members have free access to high-speed internet and laptop computers.

Impact on their Community:

Tech2Elevate serves in 11 total locations across Pennsylvania and Ohio. During the first quarter of 2025, their digital coaches served 321 unique clients across those locations. In partnership with Computer Reach’s Computer Giveaway Program, Tech2Elevate also distributed 66 desktop computers to residents in Beaver and Erie counties.
Tech2Elevate Digital Coach, Chynita Young refers to one quote when discussing her relationship with her first ever client: “Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.” – Henry Ford.

“This quote hits home especially when I think about our clients. Ms. Mason, our very first, is a fantastic example. She’s an older adult who absolutely embodies that spirit. Not only does she push her own boundaries, but she also keeps us digital coaches on our toes, constantly having to think outside the box. She even gets us looking at metrics we hadn’t considered before! It just goes to show you, staying current with tech isn’t about age; it’s about the individual’s drive.”

Next Steps:

The next steps for Tech2Elevate include launching a youth digital coach training program and securing additional funding to expand into more Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia communities.
